Due to the Russian/Ukrainian war, skirmishes around the world, and talk about redefining borders… I thought it only appropriate to give a little perspective regarding world-borders based upon the Bible. I believe that most folks will find this newsletter quite interesting.

World History in a Nutshell

An important factor for understanding prophetic scripture in modern-times, is the populous of earth compared to earlier eras. The world’s population began at a location which is often referred to as the “cradle of human civilization”. This cradle essentially became known as the region of Mesopotamia which was well-blessed with two fertile river-basins of the Tigris and Euphrates. Its fertile-soil base was perhaps the main reason why the earth’s population tended to remain fixated in that area.

Today the man-made borders of Turkey, Iran, Syria, and Kuwait, overlay the expanse of ancient Mesopotamia and it is the country of Iraq which resides at its center. Iraq is also where the ancient-city of Babylon was located. Before Christ, this famous Babylonian city and/or territory rose and contracted a number of times before it emerged as the great Neo-Babylonian Empire. The time of this great empire occurred during the approximate years of 626 thru 539 BC.

As large oceanic trade-ships became the norm and the earth’s populous expanded around the globe, wars and battles ensued which solidified empires and nations.  North-America was the last continent where its population became dense enough to establish and support a nation’s permanent border.

The United States of America was founded in the year 1776, whereas Canada as a Dominion wasn’t established until 1867. Of historical interest, is the fact that the American civil-war occurred from 1861 thru 1865.

Leading up to Canada’s confederation in 1867, it became apparent to our leaders of that time that we needed a railroad to solidify our southern border. Hence, as part of Canada’s 1867 constitution (Section 145), it stated that a national-railroad would be built to support each of its provinces. This put the wheels in motion for developing Canada’s Intercolonial Railway.

Due to the population-growth of the United States during this era, Canada was basically squeezed up into the north. Canada’s Intercolonial Railway became integral for realizing a sense of security along our southern border. Further, prior to Canada’s major roads and thriving trucking industry – it was the railroads which facilitated trade and transport from its abundant water-ways into its rugged interior.

CONCERNING BIBLICAL PROPHECY, Canada was the last huge-expanse of land on earth that became heavily populated. Following our country’s inception, a substantial number of Canadians have since emigrated to nations around the globe. So, Canadians have had our fair-share of influence upon certain people groups around the world, as they have on us. This was all predestined by God and carefully orchestrated through to completion.

There are a good number of Canadians living in middle-eastern countries, whereby many now populate the region of ancient Mesopotamia. Interestingly, there are Canadian schools within Iraq, Qatar, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates. Further, the Canadian military has been involved in peace-keeping missions and certain wars around the world. Unfortunately, one such excursion was the Gulf War in Iraq; whereby Iraq is situated squarely upon the same tract-of-land central to ancient Mesopotamia.

Due to mankind’s continuous technological development, the shipping, railroad, and air-transport industries have served to mix together people-groups around the world. Hence, technology itself has revolutionized the mix of earth’s population.

Since mankind is sinful in nature, hatred often arises between people groups (fueled by propaganda) that lead to skirmishes and wars. On the flip-side of this coin however, once different people-groups finally come together and take the time to learn about each other …. we see that we’re all pretty-much the same. Humans are creatures-of-habit with most having similar hopes and dreams. Perhaps this realization was a large factor for easing tensions after our race had experienced two world-wars.

The world has now reached the stage where its general-population which began in early Mesopotamia….  has spread to the far corners of the earth (Canada in this case) and circled back upon itself. Earth’s general-population has returned from whence it came, so all of its people-groups have mixed together in some form or fashion. In a large part, this is why Iran is so heavily entrenched within biblical-prophecy, because Iran is built upon the very same soil as the original “cradle of civilization”.

The Constitution of Persia/Iran

During the year 1935 Reza Shah Pahlavi who was Iran’s King at the time, requested that the international community now refer to their country as Iran instead of Persia. We all understand that Iran has become a pivotal player on the world-stage; however, Iran was quite significant on the world-stage during Neo-Babylonian times as well, since it was basically Persia (Achaemenid Empire at the time) that conquered Neo-Babylonia.

The Constitutional Revolution of Iran occurred during the years 1905 thru 1911. Iran’s constitution established the basis for modern-day Iran. Due to this early 20th-century occurrence, Iran finally had a chance of extracting itself from strong-arm tactics from both inside and outside of its borders.

Daniel Chapter-eleven discusses the “Kings of the South and the North” and begins by introducing the kings of Persia. This whole chapter focuses upon struggles which apply to our modern era. Significantly, WWI occurred during the years 1914 thru 1918 and Iran’s constitution was established just prior. For these reasons and more, I believe that Daniel chapter-eleven begins about the time when Iran established its modern-day constitution.

Biblically significant, is the fact that Persia/Iran was once the Achaemenid Empire (550–330 BC) which was founded by Cyrus the Great. Under Cyrus's command, laws were established which basically became the foundation for Persia’s constitution. I believe that the genius of its design was the fact that although the rule-of-law was firmly enforced, each of its provinces were allowed to retain their own cultural-identity and rule semi-autonomously.

During Cyrus’s rule; the Median Empire, Lydia, and the Neo-Babylonian Empire were all conquered and became part of the Achaemenid Empire. Interestingly, Egypt became part of the Achaemenid Empire as well, although some years later.

Now that we’ve had a little refresher on world-history, we can circle back to North America.

The Constitutions of Canada / USA

One of the commonalities between the United States of America and Canada, is the fact that both constitutions are based upon biblical principles which focus upon human-rights. Although the constitution of the USA is perhaps more bullet-proof from my perspective, both are based upon Judaeo-Christian values; although we often wonder if this was ever the case.

For interest’s sake, I’ve provided a couple of links where other's have commented on Canada's constitution.

Canada, A Christian Country

Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the ‘Supremacy of God’

Although I don’t know exactly what North-America’s future entails border-wise, I can confidently state that the American and Canadian borders are highlighted within the Bible. There are likely a few different ways of approaching this argument, but I will begin through some simple numerology. The numbers in question here, are: twelve, twenty-four and forty-eight.

Numerology: Number 48

As a starting point, please refer to the following words from Jesus himself.

KJV, John 11:9. Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

In this prior verse, Jesus emphasizes that there are twelve-hours of light within each day. So, on average, there are twelve-hours of light and twelve-hours of darkness within a twenty-four-hour period.

I gather that Jesus picked exactly twelve-disciples because this diverse group of individuals represented the "Light" of the world and not its darkness. Perhaps in a similar manner, this is also why there were twelve tribes of Israel.

Expanding upon the spiritual meaning of number twelve; listed below are some prime examples where number forty-eight represents physical borders.

  • The tract of land given by God for the twelve-tribes of Israel was described in Ezekiel chapter forty-eight.
  • The tribe of Levi became the priests of biblical Israel. This Israeli tribe was not assigned tracts of land like the other tribes were, but were assigned to forty-eight cities dispersed throughout the nation.
  •  In biblical times, it was determined that there was a total of forty-eight star-constellations. Basically, these are sources of light. Regardless of this fact, today it’s understood that there are eighty-eight star-constellations, not forty-eight.
  • Although the USA has fifty-states, only forty-eight of them are contiguous. It was the state of Arizona with its capital of Phoenix which became the forty-eighth state in year 1912, just a couple of years before WWI. Interestingly, the Seal of Arizona depicts the sun shining over the mountains, having the motto “Ditat Deus”, which means: God enriches.

Due to the underlying meaning of number-twelve and these prior examples of forty-eight, I believe that biblically-speaking - number forty-eight represents "light" spreading outwardly in four directions. Significantly, there are now a similar number of Jewish descendants within both USA and Israel.

Numerology: Canada Revised from 48 to 24

As stated in Wikipedia, the name of Canada evolved from the Iroquoian word “Kanata” meaning village or settlement. Sounding similar to this word Kanata, the French explorer Jacques Cartier commonly began to use the word "Canada" on early maps of the lowlands surrounding the St. Lawrence River. Consequently, the name Canada stuck, and the Europeans began to describe this land as Canada.

Using simple numerology, where a=1, b=2, c=3, and so on… the letters of Kanata equal FORTY-EIGHT and the letters of Canada equal TWENTY-FOUR.

From what we learned earlier, if the number forty-eight represents a land which has its common borders (or light) distributed equally in four directions (north, south, east, and west); THEN, the number twenty-four can be logically used to represent light which spreads predominantly in just two directions. For the nation of Canada, these two directions represent the land between its east and west coasts.

Setting Canada’s three northern territories aside for a moment, if we compare the contiguous forty-eight states of the USA to Canada’s ten-provinces…. its easy to see that the USA’s borders are more-or-less square in shape and its populous is somewhat equally distributed in all four directions. In contrast to the USA, Canada’s populous is collectively rectangular-shaped and aligns from east to west and its greater populous hugs around its southern border.

Further, if you pull up a map of North America’s railroad-grid, this concept of Canada being two-directional versus USA being four-directional, becomes even more apparent. I’ve emphasized the importance of railroads in biblical-prophecy a number of times earlier. Notably, railroads concern infrastructure. Their conformity to standard-gauge-rail which was introduced in England and later imported to North America... is likely the primary factor as to why much of North-America speaks English.

Curiously, through numerology - by changing the name of Kanata to Canada and having this country's number change from forty-eight to twenty-four - is perhaps evidence that Canadians were squeezed up into the north. I gather that during this time of fixating the Canadian/USA border, a number of Indigenous groups migrated north into Canada. Although I don’t exactly have proof of this, due to the fishing and hunting aspects alone...  I suspect this to be the case.

Within the prophetic, horns are used to signify a focal-point of power. This concept is not dissimilar to the sharp-horns on goats, steers, moose and rhinos which are used during battle. Although it’s not difficult to understand that this word “horn” represents a type of focused power, the Bible usually doesn’t elaborate upon its FORM or TYPE.

Canada as the Ten-Horns

Prophetically speaking, the number-ten represents a BALANCE of various people groups. Just like a person needing ten-toes for balance and support, it requires a diverse population to build and support a strong nation. Due to the diversity of Indigenous peoples within Canada’s borders, its strength-through-diversity began well before Canada ever became a Dominion. Although a contentious topic, I believe that Canada as a nation, is proud of the fact that people from all around the world have now immigrated to Canada.

Canada’s Indigenous people include the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis. From what I gather, approximately five-percent of Canada’s populous is Indigenous, whereas the USA's is between one and two-percent. Interestingly, about ten-percent of Mexico’s population is Indigenous.

Generally speaking, and from my humble opinion - the Indigenous People represent a way of life consistent with our creator’s original-design for mankind. Their contribution to society which consistently respects earth’s beauty and its resources, balances the fact that industrialized-societies typically "advance” in the opposite direction.

Specific verses regarding these TEN HORNS are shown below, and are all from Daniel chapter-seven (New International Version).

Daniel 7: (7) “After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast - terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns. (8) “While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully.

(19) Then I wanted to know the meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others and most terrifying, with its iron teeth and bronze claws - the beast that crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. (20) I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and about the other horn that came up, before which three of them fell - the horn that looked more imposing than the others and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully.

(24) The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings.

The obscure reference to iron in these prior verses, basically highlights Canada’s first national railroad and the ones which follow. As Canada was formed, its national railroad became like a band-of-iron that eventually stretched between its east and west coasts.

THE OTHER HORN THAT CAME UP, BEFORE WHICH THREE OF THEM FELL

In the prior verses of 7:8 and 7:20 - it speaks of another horn, a little one, which came up among them where three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This “little horn” which starts out small, was basically a new technology within its day, and one that later became quite powerful. It served the purpose of distinguishing the cultures between Canada and the USA. However, that discussion is for another time.

Canada’s borders as they are today, were developed through a series of battles upon both land and sea. In the year 1867, the Dominion of Canada was created by joining three British North-American Colonies.

These early British colonies, were the provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and the province of Canada. The moment that these three colonies fell - the Dominion of Canada was birthed. This is essentially the gist within scripture regarding “three horns” being uprooted. In effect, these three-horns were the three British Colonies which were replaced by the Dominion of Canada.

It took a number of years for Canada to mature into ten-provinces and three-territories. The last province entering confederation was Newfoundland in the year 1949, and its last territory which joined the Dominion was Nunavut in 1999.

In addition, in 2001 - Labrador was officially included within the province of Newfoundland, and its named changed to “Newfoundland and Labrador”. This province’s coat-of-arms depicts two Indigenous warriors, two lions, two white-unicorns, and a moose which is centered overhead. The Newfoundland and Labrador’s motto for its coat-of-arms reads: QUAERITE PRIME REGNUM DEI, which means... Seek ye first the kingdom of God. Interestingly, a moose was also used for the logo of Canada’s Intercolonial Railway (ICR).

If Canada was analogous to a person, the split between its left and right sides occurs between its two largest populated provinces - Ontario and Quebec. Geographically,  there are five-provinces to the east of this divide, and five-provinces to the west. Analogously, like one's toes - the westerly five-provinces are fastened to the foot of one leg, and its easterly five-provinces are fastened to the foot of the other.

Notably, Quebec speaks mostly French and Ontario speaks mostly English. Canada’s capital is conveniently located upon the divide between Ontario and Quebec.

I have been shown that characteristically, Canada's ten-provinces represent the concept of NOBLE. Not perfect, but noble. Similar as to how ten-toes are required to hold up one's heavy body, it’s a noble accomplishment to be one of the ten. As well (for the most part), I believe that Canada has always supported the United Kingdom and our good-neighbour to the south. Further, each of Canada’s provinces supports and respects their Indigenous heritage. Again… noble, not perfect.

Biblical Numerology: Combining Numbers 10 and 24

NIV: Daniel chapter-seven, verse twenty-four: The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings.

Prophetically, and for our narrative at hand - since the number-ten represents the ten-provinces of Canada, and the number twenty-four represents its “light” which spreads both east and west - I believe that the combination of these two numbers is highly significant. This prior-verse of Daniel 7:24 appears to place Canada on the map.

If we scan ahead now to the book of Revelation, we find that we have the same two-number combination.

NIV: Revelation chapter-four, verse ten: the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

This connection between Daniel chapter-seven and Revelation chapter-four, concern our current era. I will discuss the book of Revelation in a moment, I would just like you to take note that there's a connection between numbers ten and twenty-four in both of these prior verses. There's continuity between the book of Daniel and the book of Revelation. This is merely one example.

Below are a few interesting facts regarding numerology and our new Prime Minister.

  • There are ten letters within our new Prime Minister’s name and he is the twenty-fourth Prime Minister of Canada. Once Mark Carney was sworn in, he reduced the number of his Liberal cabinet from thirty-seven Ministers down to twenty-four (this no. includes himself).
  • Our new Prime Minister was sworn in on March 14, 2025. This so-happened to be the same day of the Lunar Eclipse in addition to the Jewish holiday of Purim.
  • We’ve now had ten different Prime Ministers since Canada’s 100th anniversary.
  • The official address for Canada’s prime minister is twenty-four Sussex Drive; although this residence is now under repair.

From my opinion, the numbers twenty-four and ten together through these past examples, represent Canada's ten-provinces which stretch between its east and west coasts. In addition, since we are at the point in time where our twenty-fourth Prime Minister is at the helm, we are within Canada's 24th era. (cabinet-wise, Mark Carney's Cabinet is the thirtieth in our history).

Numerology Within the Book of Revelation

Revelation chapters ONE thru THREE, speak of Jesus second-coming as well as the Seven-Churches which have survived up until our modern day. Or, at least similarly-minded churches as we currently understand them. The introduction of Revelation essentially states for all to prepare for Jesus’ return, as these Churches were certainly not (and are not) perfect. John lists these seven-churches in the following passage.

I have been led to this passage a number of times now, so I though it only prudent to include it here.

KJV, Revelation chapter-one: (10) I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

(11) Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

(12) And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

(13) And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

(14) His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

(15) And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

(16) And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

(17) And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

(18) I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

(19) Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;

(20) The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

Following this particular passage, are instructions for these Seven Churches in chapters two and three. Skipping ahead, we will now delve into verses from chapter-four.

Prophetically, the number FOUR represents dominion, authority, and orderly government. Perhaps this is similar in meaning as to how it takes four-legs for a dog to efficiently walk and run, whereas it merely limps along on three.

Revelation chapter-four, discusses God's throne and authority over the inhabitants of earth. By inhabitants, I'm referring to not only mankind, but to all of the Beasts which roam the earth. Within past newsletters, I've interpreted the four Beasts of Daniel-chapter-seven as certain forms of technology. These Beasts are also kings, since mankind has now given power and authority over to these Beasts.

In verse-one of the following, a door was opened and John (who wrote the book of Revelation) was taken up into heaven. So basically, the verses which follow are from heaven's perspective, not from an earthly one. Due to my ignorance of the spiritual-realm, you may want to take some of my following comments with a grain of salt. This is merely my current understanding.

KJV: Revelation chapter-four: (1) After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

(2) And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

(3) And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

(4) And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

(5) And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

(6) And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.

(7) And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.

(8) And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

(9) And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,

(10) The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

(11) Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Verse-ten from the above passage, is the one which I had highlighted earlier regarding the combination of numbers ten and twenty-four.

Even before mankind was created, there was a spiritual atmosphere established by God in order to communicate between the heavenly and earthly realms. Although we like to think that mankind invented radio-technology which communicates invisibly through space...  communications through the spiritual-realm had been established much, much, earlier as was put forth in the book of Genesis and during the creation period.

In saying all this, the technology that we have is of no surprise to God. In fact, it was carefully considered before the Bible was ever written. Hence, our current technology is not ignored within the Bible. I believe that the Four-Beasts described in the previous verses, are likely the same four Beasts listed in Daniel chapter-seven. However, they are from a heavenly perspective and just after Jesus' second-coming.

In Revelation chapter-four, it seems to be describing a certain relationship between God and mankind which is governmental and/or priest-like in nature. It discusses twenty-four thrones and twenty-four elders. To be clear, I don't believe that these twenty-four elders in the book-of-Revelation specifically represent Canada as I've eluded to earlier, but have become spiritual "watchers" of-a-sort and priests for all of mankind.

I believe that these twenty-four Elders arrived about the time that railroads began to criss-cross North America. It was all part of God's plan technology-wise, in order to fulfill Scripture. Canada's Confederation, serves to focus upon their time of arrival.

So, rest easy - this is all part of God's original design, and scripture will certainly be fulfilled just as it was written.
